About
Built by people who got tired of chasing documents
We started ZippedScript after years watching smart ops teams spend their best hours on document follow-up instead of the work that actually matters.
Why we built this
Document workflows are broken in a specific, painful way. Every step requires a human to remember something: send this to legal, remind finance to approve, file the signed copy here. The work itself is low-value. The consequences of dropping it are not.
Ops teams have been solving this problem with email, calendar reminders, and shared drives since those tools existed. The problem is that those tools were built for communication, not workflow. They don't route. They don't escalate. They don't track.
We built ZippedScript to handle everything between "this document needs to exist" and "this document is signed and filed." The drafting, the routing, the follow-up, the storage. All of it.
We're a small, self-funded team in Vancouver. We ship quickly, we talk to customers directly, and we build exactly what ops teams tell us they need.
The team
Chris Harper
CEO and Co-Founder
Spent several years building workflow tooling for business operations, frustrated by the copy-paste-and-chase cycle that never gets automated. Builds toward a world where ops teams focus on decisions, not paperwork logistics.
Arjun Mehta
CTO and Co-Founder
Spent several years building NLP pipelines and structured data extraction systems at a document-processing infrastructure company. Leads technical direction at ZippedScript with a focus on reliable document parsing and APIs that are straightforward to integrate.
Owen Bradshaw
Head of Product
Managed operations workflows at a professional services firm for several years before moving into product, knows manual approval overhead from the inside. Leads product at ZippedScript with an obsessive focus on the ops team experience from first setup to daily use.
How we operate
Self-funded and deliberate
We're bootstrapped. That means we build what customers need, not what looks good in a pitch deck. Our roadmap is driven by conversations with ops teams, not investor timelines.
Small team, real access
When you reach out with a question or a problem, you hear back from someone who actually built the product. We don't route support through a tier-1 bot.
Shipping, not planning
We release frequently, in small increments. When something breaks we fix it fast. When customers ask for something we build it or explain why we won't.
Long-term customers
Our business model only works if customers stick around because the product keeps getting better. We're not optimizing for trial-to-paid conversion. We're optimizing for year two and year three.
Want to talk to the team?
We're always open to hearing what document workflows look like at your company. No sales pitch, just a real conversation.
